The Laurel Ball annual gala continues to provide high school students
around the Boston community with a cultural holiday event where
teenagers can come together,
see old friends and make new acquaintances in a memorable setting.
At the same time, they actively participate in a fund-raising
effort which promotes the idea of giving in a way that makes a notable
difference in the lives of others.
For the 2007 fundraising theme, Laurels for
Literature, The Laurel Ball event proceeds will provide a gift for
books in the classroom to benefit Epiphany School, an accredited
nonprofit middle school whose motto is, “Never Give Up on a Child”;
and, a gift to start a new library for The Conservatory Lab Charter
School, a public charter school serving students in kindergarten
through fifth grade, with an innovative curriculum,“Learning Through
Music”.
